"I was paired up with John often in this audition couple of days. And I thought this was good because he was my favorite Jim. And every time they paired me up with him I got excited… On the second day John finally whispered to me and said, ‘You’re my favorite Pam. I hope you get it.’ And I said, ‘You’re my favorite Jim! You’re my favorite Jim!’
And when they called me and said you got the role, I said, ‘Who is Jim? Did you cast John Krasinski?’ and they said, ‘Yes’ and I started crying because I knew that it would be good. And I mean this honestly - I can’t do Pam without him. In the way you need the right partner to have a great marriage, I needed the right co-star to have this relationship."
